Dr. Vernon Asper

Dr. Asper has directed the Undersea Vehicle Technology Center within NIUST since its inception and has been responsible for the acquisition of two AUVs as well as other equipment.  His expertise also includes extensive research on marine aggregates and he was the first to document the sedimentation of Macondo oil by this mechanism.  He has been working in the Gulf with the Hydrates consortium for nearly 10 years and has contributed to numerous aspects of this work.
